Before this course began I was very worried about everything. My last English professor was all over the place missed a lot of day and really unorganized. I was hoping that my professor this semesters wasn't anything like my last one. To my surprise he the total opposite. My professor Dr.C Jason Smith is on top of things and has really taught me a lot. I Have learned about many things so far such as, archetypes, monomyths, symbolism, poem format, ect. I have found symbols to be the most interesting. Before I learned about symbols I found reading poems to be extremely challenging. Now that I know more about symbols I find it much easier to figure out what an author of a poem is trying to say. It is very helpful to find the denotation and the connotations of word that I don't understand or word that sound like it doesn't fit into a sentence. Overall this semester has been going okay, he grades very fair and he also gives us the option to revise our essays. ill be sure to give my experience in this class a good review on rate my professor.com. :)
